On 18 January 2017, the EPO hosted the fourth IP5 Global Dossier Task Force (GDTF) meeting at the EPO in Munich, Germany. The IP5 Offices outlined the progress made in the Global Dossier services, with impressive statistics showing the levels of IP5 examiners' and the general public's access to the file wrappers from all IP5 Offices. The Global Dossier now also includes access to file wrappers from PCT dossiers and non-IP5 offices who participate via WIPO-CASE. Industry representatives from the IP5 regions praised the progress made and requested further enhancements in the current Global Dossier services.
The IP5 Offices additionally reported to industry on the significant progress made in developing the next steps in the Global Dossier initiative, including the five priorities outlined originally during the second GDTF meeting in January 2015. First concrete results are planned for 2017.
The IP5 Industry delegations continue to play a key role in defining the future Global Dossier vision and developments, giving valued feedback at every stage.
